Sama Chakeva

Sama Chakeva is a traditional Mithila folk festival celebrated in the Maithili-speaking regions of northern Bihar, India, and southern Nepal. Observed in the lunar month of Kartik (October–November), it honors the affectionate bond between brothers and sisters and carries deep cultural, ecological, and artistic significance in Mithila society.
